The leopard discus has been bred to produce a spotted appearance…nine vertical bars are seen when young, and snake skin discus has thin striations (14/18 vertical bars that resemble the skin of a snake. When bred together, the leopard snake and leopard snake skin discus creates a beautiful, striking thick spots pattern that combines the better of the two for a truly spectacular combination
As the fish matures, its pattern and coloration can become increasingly defined under good aquarium conditions.
